My R129 SL500 is the definition of a well kept car. Only 3 owners from new, the previous owner for 21 years. I bought her in May 2022 initially for a road trip around Europe, I am now selling due to a move to France and cant be doing with the import nonsense, i would not be selling otherwise. The last owner kept her in a heated garage and was naver taken out when raining or when the roads were salted.First Registered in August 1996 by Westwood Garage Blackburn, this SL500 was finished in Ruby Red metallic contrasted by mushroom leather. It is equipped with adaptive damping, heated/memory and drivers orthapaedic seats and rear seats.The previous owner, a mercedes enthusiast ad club member purchased the SL from Charles Sidney of Bradford in 2001 when the car had covered 39k miles. I bought the SL from Mercedes Specialist Edward Hall with 109k miles. I have done 9000 miles since buying. Do not be put off by the mileage, I viewed many before buying this one and she is the best I had seen by a county mile! The car has all original books in the leather wallet. The service book contains 18 service records. Every MOT certificate,logbook and service bill is arranged in date order. Thanks to regular but careful use my SL remains in outstanding and completely original condition. The wheels still retail their original diamond cut finish. The hardtop can only be described as immaculate and as new. The softop is in fabulous condition with ther rear windows being replaced last year. The underside is also in exceptional condition with no corrosion. Being a 1996 this SL is one of the desirable 96-98 cars with the improved wiring, coil on coil ignition, 5 speed auto and improved climate control but still with the M119 engine. The new owner will have the benefit of a brand new MOT and fresh service. Next MOT due 15/11/2024, Red, 3 owners, £15,000
