This little 2 owner 200 TDi is a real joy. It starts and runs on the button and is great fun to drive. Brilliantly simple and functional but totally charming with it! It has become quite unusual to find an early 200 TDi Defender in good condition with few owners and lowish mileage. This one has had lots of recent work to allow it to do another 30+ years of service. The previous owner (an agricultural engineer) fitted a new galvanised chassis and replaced much of the suspension at the same time, as well as restoring the bulkhead and footwells. The paintwork was also refreshed but thankfully was not covered in filler, so it still retains a few little battle scars like all old Land Rovers should! Since acquiring the car, I have had a full comprehensive Dinitrol waxolyl treatment carried out by Stagshaw in Northumberland to protect the new chassis and also done a full service and various mechanical and cosmetic works to get it looking, running and driving as well as possible.
