Description

Good points:-Exterior is in reasonably good condition for a 16 year old car. The odd surface marks/scratch and a bit of surface deterioration on the bonnet at the front that would probably polish out. I just haven't got around to it. Interior of the car is excellent and everything works as it should do, including electric front seats, computer, sat nav, music system, etc. Engine and gearbox is sweet as a nut and the car has only done 80k miles, so only averaged 5000 miles per year!! Doesn't burn any oil and returns over 50 mpg on mixed runs. It has LOADS of life in it yet. A good set of tyres. Car can be driven, but as MOT has expired, you'll need a trailer to collect it from Wirral area. Bad points:-Just had the local main dealer look at where the fluid leak is coming from and they say that it is from the steering rack and it is pretty messy underneath from the leaking fluid. They quoted 1621 to replace the rack, including parts and labour, but that's at main dealer labour rates. From looking at parts suppliers, a rack costs 591 and you get 207 back when you return the old one (GSF Car Parts). I am sure that an experienced amateur mechanic could replace it if you have a decent workshop, or a non-main dealer would charge a lot less for the labour. Some LDS fluid will be included with the car. Suspension system works fine, but just needs to be topped up with fluid at the rate of about a litre every few weeks. TPMS reports flat tyre, when it's not and 4 x replacement TPMS sensors (pre-programmed) will be included with the car, ready to be fitted. Electric tailgate struts need a couple of the little round ends replacing. They can be sourced from non-electric struts very easily and simply screwed on, or you could remove the electric struts and simply fit the standard gas lift struts if you prefer. Please note that in the photos, the suspension is set to lowest position, but goes up to normal position for driving. Also, the personal plate on the car is NOT INCLUDED. The actual registration is BD08WRA and those plates will be supplied with the car. Next MOT due 09/11/2023, Silver, 5+ owners, £595
