For reluctant sale is my Peugeot 206 Roland Garros. One family owned car - my grandfather purchased it from new. The car was then passed to my father, then I took ownership in 2009. Mechanically the engine pulls very well in all gears and the clutch still feels responsive. The timing belt was last changed in March 2022 and the oil was last changed in September 2023. Full documented history of services/mechanical work carried out. The bodywork and interior are in good condition considering the vehicle's age. Early model with the 8 valve 1.6 petrol engine with simpler 'Pre Plexed' wiring setup. Regrettably some welding work is required for it to pass its next MOT. The two main rust spots in question are behind the front wheel wells on the bulkhead as in the photos. MOT is valid until the 27th October so the vehicle will need to be towed away after this date. Also the front offsite top mount bearing has seized which will also need to be replaced. There are some advisories besides this - mainly that the braking system will need work (new pads/disks at front)/possibly brake pipes and rust removal on the front/rear sill jacking points (close to the suspension mounting areas). The rear axle/sub-frame also has surface corrosion. These are a common weak spot on these cars but on this one, the axle functions as it should and can be treated/painted to give it a few more years' life. Overall, this car would make an excellent project for someone who knows how to weld/can work on it mechanically themselves. Given how rare this special edition model is becoming it's likely to become an appreciating classic in the years to come. Next MOT due 27/10/2024, Green, 3 owners, £500
