Description

2005 Premier Edition Honda Civic Type-R in Cosmic Grey. 121,215 miles, 4 owners, 2 keys, HPI clear. I've owned this car a year and It has been used every week in that time often daily and also on some long trips. I have a big folder of history and below is a recap of the work that I've had completed. Honda VTC gear and timing chain Brake Pads (Ferodo ds2500) Hel Braided Brake lines Michelin PS5 tyres (215/45/17) Alloy wheel refurbishment Honda approved Denso starter motor Honda knock sensor Exedy OEM spec clutch (same as used in Civic cup race cars) 2 sets of plugs (NGK) 2 oil changes (10w50) The car wants for nothing mechanically. Everything that's been done has been a preventative measure noting the milage of the car. Aside from the slightly oversized tyres and braided brake lines, the car is standard, including the head unit which is pretty rare. Being the Premier Edition it comes with tinted rear windows, Type-R embossed brakes, red carpet and interior, MOMO steering wheel and the icing on the cake, the Recaro buckets. These are still in great condition. The car is not rusty as can be seen from the photos of the underside. It has not been under sealed. I was looking for a lower milage example but when I saw the condition of this car I couldn't pass it up. I've tried to keep it in that excellent condition. The arches aren't rotted out and have never been rolled. The only thing that lets this car down is the age related dings on the exterior and some of the interior plastics. This has never bothered me as I bought the car to drive rather than polish. Having said that it scrubs up nicely and looks more than presentable. The owner prior to me had 2 of these, the other being a JDM spec. He kept it in excellent condition throughout his ownership. The dealership I got it from had seen a few of these over the years and said this was easily one of the best. The garage that did a lot of the work including the timing chain said this was the nicest they'd seen in about 10 years. The only reason for sale is that I want to move onto the next dream car having checked this one off. I've wanted one of these since I was young and saw them on Top Gear and racing in BTCC. The car has absolutely lived up to my expectations and I've enjoyed every drive in it. I would describe this as the perfect drivers Civic. It is honest and not cosmetically immaculate but mechanically spot on and ready to do another 120k. Open to offers. No px unless you have a manual e46 e92 or m2
