Description
I know everybody says this - but this really is a reluctant sale. A house move means my beloved Copen has to go - which is good news if you're looking for one of these fabulous little roadsters, because this one drives like new. All the while I've owned it, I've had it serviced every year by a local Daihatsu specialist (ex-main dealer) so it's an absolute joy to drive. The 1.3 engine is the same lump used in the Toyota Yaris, so it'll never, ever let you down - and in a thing this size, it's an absolute hoot.
It's in excellent condition - some bubbling is just starting to appear on the lip of the bonnet, as seen in one of the photos, but it's great otherwise. It was given a coating of Waxoyl underneath when it had its last service in October. All four tyres have fat tread, and the roof opens and closes without issue (20 seconds in either direction).
Standard equipment includes aircon, heated seats, front and rear foglights, and powered mirrors. There's just one change from standard, and it's a very good one - the original stereo has been replaced by an excellent Pioneer Bluetooth CD radio with USB and aux, and the original speaker grilles contain upgraded Pioneer speakers. The sound quality is brilliant.
There are some nice little extras as part of the deal, headed up by a set of mega-rare, original Daihatsu-branded alloy pedals, still sealed in their plastic bags. The garage found them lurking on their parts shelf and thought I'd like to have them. Same goes for a pristine owner's handbook, which they also found (so the car comes with two owner's handbooks...). And the history file also contains an immaculate showroom brochure from 2008, the year the car was registered.
There are two keys (one fob, one key on its own), and the boot contains the unused compressor and full set of wheel-changing tools.
Can't think of anything else, but I'm happy to answer any questions.
