Dear AutoTraders, You are looking at my beloved 2014 Vauxhall Astra - an amazing car that I really don't want to sell, but since I am moving abroad soon, I am unfortunately unable to keep it. I began life as a motorcycle enthusiast, and didn't learn to drive until my mid-30s. I bought this car as soon as I passed my test, and I have loved every minute of it. For anyone who is new to driving, I believe the Astra would make a brilliant first car for you. It's comfortable, affordable and incredibly spacious (compared to other hatchbacks). This particular Astra also has a 1.6L engine - which is on the larger side, and which also makes it brilliant for cross-country journeys. It's a 2014 Astra, so the engine was manufactured by General Motors (who sold Vauxhall to Peugeot's owner in 2017). This means the engine is incredibly reliable and is likely to have many more years and many tens of thousands of miles left in it. I have never had a mechanical fault with the car, and its wear and tear (interior and exterior) are minimal. It has a new MOT certificate (valid from Jan 28) and it has a brand new pair of rear tyres. This car really has been a dream to drive. I've driven it all over the country - to relatives in Herefordshire, to festivals in Cumbria, and to events in the Midlands and the North West.
