Description
2005 Porsche Boxster 987 2.7 Guards Red(IMS upgraded) +ULEZ compliant.
My Porsche Boxter 2.7 comes with full service history, part main dealer and later Porsche specialists. I bought this car from a friend and intended to keep it forever as a summer car but now need a new daily car so hence it's up for sale. The special thing about this car is that it has had a full engine rebuild at 34879 miles as a precaution against the dreaded IMS bearing. It has been upgraded with the EPS Ceramic IMS bearing which is a flat roller bearing which will outlast the cars engine.
The work was done by porsche engine specialists
A comprehensive list of replaced parts is shown below.
I also took the opportunity to replace the clutch, flywheel, release bearing and also service the gearbox. So, if you want a car offering peace of mind, then this is the one to have.
Amazingly, it is also ULEZ compliant!!
This car has full black leather seats, 911 crabclaw 18" wheels, a Bose sound system, Xenon headlights, excellent condition inside and bodywork very nice but not perfect, well it's 20yrs old! Garaged all year round and not taken out in the rain. Indoor cover included. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres all in excellent condition and the rears replaced in March 2024. Just serviced in July 2024. Next MOT due 29/11/2025. Mileage @46000.

Any negatives? New air conditioning condensers were also fitted but due to a leaking pipe the aircon isn't presently working. Since I never used it (roof down gives enough air) I have not been concerned about fixing it. This is the only thing that doesn't work on the car as it should.
