Description

Selling our 2007 SAAB 95 Vector Sport 2.3t after eight years of trouble-free motoring. We no longer need such a big car with the kids having left home. Also, since making far fewer trips to Scotland our mileage has plummeted. Having owned two SAAB 95s over twenty years I'm a fan of this rock-solid motorway cruiser. It's ULEZ-friendly and (to my surprise) more economical than our previous 2.0l Vector Sport. Road tax however is high. Mechanically very sound, it does have a few age-expected marks and small bumper scrapes. The two that I consider worth mentioning are a section of the front bumper which could do with re-lacquering and a wear hole in the bolster of the drivers seat. Both pre-date my ownership and are things that I meant to make good, but never got around to. Other remarks are that the turbo was replaced in 2017, and I went to get the old alloys refurbed in 2018 (by Madhouse Tyres London) but they had a set of refurbed, grey Aero alloys in stock which I couldn't resist (best looking SAAB alloys IMO) which make the 95 look quite a bit more aggressive. Regularly (and only) serviced by Cromwell SAAB. Unbelievably comfortable seats (heated), and drives as well as it ever did. Just MOT'd and serviced, and the only advisories were to do with brake pipe corrosion (and when I asked about correcting this I was told it might never need it). Satnav doesn't work, but the last map update was 2010, and it was so inferior to a smartphone it was already redundant. Very sad that SAAB are no more or I would stay loyal to the brand. SAAB rubber mats throughout and also in the boot. We do have dogs, but they're only allowed in the boot, so the boot shelf has been sitting unused for eight years. I can include a dog grille and collapsible cage if wanted. It's a great car.
