This is a 53 plate Civic EP3 Type R with 56k on the clock. I have owned the car for 3 years now and practically driven it every day. The car is fantastic and in great condition . The steering and gearbox are tight and feel like the car is practically new. I owned a red one that was 18 months old back in 2004 as a qualification present to myself. This car feels almost identical to that car. The VTEC kicks in at 6000rpm and pulls through to 8000rpm as it should. The car is brutal and lost zero excitement in its 22 years. My insurance for it has been around 300 pa which has nicely balanced out the tax. Recently had 2 new front tyres for the MOT. 11 months MOT remaining. The work I had done on it in the last 3 years is new brake calipers. A new fuel pump. New wheel centre caps. This car just does not miss a beat- Honda I suppose. This car is like it came out of the factory with original red mats as well. Bad bits- the odd age related mark on the body work but nothing of note. The top of the steering wheel is more worn than I would like but has not gotten worse in the last few years (wearing rings and squeezing the steering wheel should be an offence). There is a cigarette burn in the rear nearside seat, but this is right up against the back upright- I only noticed it when hoovering for the current photos. The original radio is in it but it needs a radio code. I have never looked into this, I prefer to listen to this car than listen to music. This car is good to go and will bring many years of pleasure. I would like to car to go somewhere it will be looked after. So basically, no 17 year old test pilots with an insurance quote of 3k and wanting to listen to trance music. On advertising this on Autotrader, autotrader said the car is a cat D. I did not know this. So i have adjusted the price down. The car is an excellent car.
