This 25-year-old Herbie-styled Beetle has been a reliable runabout for me and now has 108k on the clock. It recently passed the MOT test (next one is due at the end of June 2026), requiring a new front lower suspension arm. There was a very small hole in the exhaust mid-silencer, which didn't fail, but I had it replaced anyway. The timing belt, spark plugs and catalytic converter were all replaced in 2023. The tyres have a 2022 date stamp and plenty of tread. I've fixed several diagnostic issues, mainly concerning air leaks and having to fit new pre- and post-cat oxygen sensors. Consequently, I've accumulated a box of spares (eg. new PCV valve), a Haynes workshop manual and most of the parts for the next service, so these are included in the sale. With a galvanised steel body and plastic wings and bumpers, from what I've inspected, I haven't found any structural corrosion, and only a couple of patch repairs on the backs of the sills. The 2-litre petrol engine is lively and returns around 32mpg. I've wet-vac'd the interior upholstery, polished and waxed the exterior and it's not bad for its age, although there are a few scratches. The alloy wheels are in reasonable condition with all of the hub caps present and locking wheel nuts (key included in the toolkit). And there are two working keys/fobs with surprisingly good buttons that haven't deteriorated. I'm now selling this car because I've bought something else to use as a daily runabout.
