Description
This is Gertie, who was my daily driver for 7 years - including travelling to Devon and around Wales on multiple occasions. I needed to purchase something a little more practical and this a reluctant sale, however she should be in the hands of someone with time to maintain her! There are some cosmetic issues and a little bit of rust as seen in the photos - she would be ideal for an enthusiast looking for a minor project but also wanting to use her in the meantime. The windscreen visor is an unusual and rare feature, that would have been an optional extra at the factory build stage. The exact mileage is unfortunately unknown, due to an intermittent issue with the speedometer cable - from documentation I would estimate nearing 110'000. I am the 6th owner but there is a fair amount of service history, and photo evidence of a full restoration completed by the 5th owner from whom I purchased the car. As you are probably aware, the car is tax and MOT exempt (hence the strange MOT due date), and also exempt from clean air zone charges. The rust in the driver and passenger floor pans (due to a minor leak around the windscreen) is surface rust - however there is a small hole in the boot that would ideally need welding. The carpets are all in good condition but the roof lining has gone brittle and has some holes. The driver seat has been previously replaced with a red version and spray painted as the original interior cactus green colour is quite hard to find, however I do have a full set of front and rear seat covers in this colour which can be included for extra upon collection. There is an electronic ignition fitted, and a new petrol tank around 5 years ago. Gertie is a very reliable runner, well worth looking at and would be a drive away purchase.
