Description
Ok folks here's the advert for my Audi A6 Avant S-Line. It's the 2.0 TDi Multitronic, automatic with flappy paddles behind the steering wheel. The car is HPI clear with a certificate from the garage I bought the car from in 2021 and is a solid, clean and straight car for its age. It drives very smoothly through the gears and all gear shift modes work perfectly fine (full auto; up/down and paddles). It has 5 full size alloy wheels and a Witter detachable towbar.
In the time I've owned it I've changed the oil twice (most recently about a month ago) It's had 4 new tyres and a new battery fitted by the AA in February (sadly the warranty is not transferable) I've replaced the rear wiper arm/blade as a common problem with these cars is that the arms drop down below the window and look awful. All the advisory work from the MOT in February has been rectified ( 2 rear indicator bulbs, 2 front Bosch wiper blades and 2 rear tyres). On the 12th August this year I took it into Halesowen Audi to have a recall rectified for the passenger airbag and the health check they carried out at the time gave green ticks in every box. The "Service Due" warning is on the dashboard however.
Now onto the negative things (all cars have them I guess) There are a couple of electronic gremlins floating around somewhere causing a couple of head scratches.
1. It sometimes tells you that the high level brake light isn't working, even though I can see that it is.
2. A recent development is that the drivers window only closes on the 3rd attempt (seriously, you couldn't make this stuff up)
3. It warns that "The MMI is overheated and will now shut down".
One last thing to cover is that it's only done around 400 miles in the last 3 years as I bought the car in April 2021, was taken ill from work in January 2022 and I haven't returned since. I've barely used the car other than for the occasional supermarket trip and its annual MOT.
I've had a couple of people look at the electrical issues but no one can give me a definitive answer on it and I simply don't have the funds to chase it up. Ultimately the car drives perfectly well other than the radio occasionally not working.
I have been as honest as I can be and have declared everything that I'm aware of with the car. I am obviously open to sensible offers but I won't entertain insults or stupidity. Thank you for your time in reading my advert. Cheers.
