I bought this VW Up in May 2024 as a town runabout. Since I've had the vehicle I've renewed the; Front discs and pads. Front brake calipers and brake hoses. Front discs guards. Both handbrake cables. Rear drums, wheel cylinders, brake shoes. New rear continental tyres fitted so the car has low mileage continental tyres all round. New 14" alloy wheels, (direct steel replacements) with security wheel nuts. Add an additional Bosch coil pack to match the two previously replaced in April 2024. In the last 50 miles I've replaced the original cambelt with a cambelt kit including tensioner and rollers. The water pump, belt, and both thermostats were also replaced at the same time. Fuel pump replaced with Bosch unit due to sender giving a false reading at the gauge. New Kenwood head unit with Bluetooth connectivity, dab radio and cd player installed. Professionally cleaned interior and exterior. The car is registered as a cat d in 2014. The damage appeared to be front and light off side rear according to a vehicle check report. This appears to be limited to bumpers and nearside front wing damage. No structural damage. The car obviously has had paint but it's holding up very well. There are marks commensurate with its age but overall the car presents well and drives very well. The air con does not work, not something I got round to. Overall a solid commuter car with the majority of serviceable items being sorted with an annual road fund tax bill of 20.00 and 50mpg economy.
