Description

For sale is my 2007 Mazda MX-5 Icon. I love this car, but it's time to part with it as I'm moving to London, and quite frankly don't drive it enough any more since buying something else. Here's some backstory. This car was bought by a Mazda mechanic new in 2007, then it was bought off him by a golf enthusiast maybe four years ago. Both of these chaps did not really drive it, and both stored it in a garage. The second owner also had the car professionally undersealed to prevent rust. I bought the car from him in August of 2024 on 39,000ish miles, and have put about 15,000 miles on this car since then. It has never ever let me down. Since buying at 39,000 miles I have done an oil, oil filter and air filter change myself at 40,000, serviced it at a garage at 45,000, and did more oil and more filters again myself at 50,000. It's also had a new brake calliper fairly recently, and has had new brake discs and pads on the rear axle less than 1,000 miles ago. The good bits: - It's a Mazda, everything works as it should. - The car is pretty much mint. The last two owners kept it in very good nick, and I have tried to take very good care of it myself. The annoying bits: - A fair few stone chips on the bonnet - Some other paint marks which I've circled in the last few images - A bit of wear on the driver's side seat, also in the photos. It's an 18 year old car, that's to be expected to be honest. - Three of the tyres look like fairly new Yokohama Advan summer tyres. The fourth tyre is a different brand of summer tyre (Kumho) that I put on when I got a puncture about 5,000 miles ago, and to be honest I just have not bothered changing it so that they match. This tyre is on the front axle anyway, so it isn't being driven. Anyway, there you go. Feel free to ask me anything. Test drives are welcome ONLY with proof of comprehensive insurance, and it would be wasting both of our times if I get any silly offers.
