Originally exported from Sicily, this Fulvia has enjoyed an interesting life, spending time in The Netherlands and Ireland before being imported to the United Kingdom in 2004.
The previous owner acquired the car that same year and cherished it for 25 years before emigrating to New Zealand.
Exterior & Bodywork
Prior to its arrival in the UK, the Fulvia was refinished in Ferrari Giallo Fly (Fly Yellow) with a contrasting black bonnet and boot lid, echoing the appearance of the original factory rally cars.
This striking colour – also seen on Lancia Delta Integrales and various Fiat models – provides a refreshing alternative to the traditional Italian red.
The car has been tastefully prepared in a works rally style, featuring:
De-bumpered front and rear with correct HF number plate lights and bumper aperture covers
De-badged bodywork for a clean, purposeful look
Series 1 aluminium bonnet, lighter and more corrosion-resistant than the later steel version, fitted with rally-style tie-down straps
New period-correct Vitaloni "California" mirrors in black
Rare NOS Carello yellow-lens spot lamps (complete with original covers and boxes, sourced directly from Italy)
Interior
The cabin has been sympathetically upgraded for both comfort and safety while retaining period authenticity:
Later Fulvia bucket seats with integrated headrests for improved safety
Period Britax static seat belts
Original-style leather-grain vinyl seat coverings in excellent condition
Lightweight works-style black carpeting with rubber overmats
Rare two-spoke black leather steering wheel
Engine & Mechanical Specification
Under the bonnet, the engine bay has been refinished in black, with the cam cover painted yellow in the style of the 1600HF—its Lancia lettering left bare for contrast.
A replacement engine (from a 1972 Series 2 1300 Berlina) was installed while the car was still in Italy.
Mechanical highlights include:
Twin Dell'Orto 35 DHLB carburettors
Modern high-torque starter motor
Under-bonnet battery cut-off switch
Malpassi "Filter King" adjustable fuel pressure regulator and filter
Wheels & Tyres
Fitted with rare 6" x 14" magnesium Campagnolo 'Kyalami' wheels, refinished in black, the Fulvia sits on:
Goodyear tyres (front)
Pirelli tyres (rear)
