As iconic as the Eiffel Tower or Camembert cheese, the Twingo is truly a piece of French excellence and a renowned part of car culture. With its good looks, clever packaging, and excellent value for money its not hard to see why it is so beloved. This particular Phase II example has been with me for the past 10 years as it is my first car! It has taken me to University, across the Pyrenees to Spain, and through the worst of the A34. Weighing in at only 1000kg, it is very fun to drive and is great on fuel economy. With a full tank of 40L, it has a range of around 500-550 miles (50-55mpg) and better still, is ULEZ compliant. It will comfortably take two adults in the rear with their baggage or, two full size suitcases and anything extra with the seats reclined (I once carried an entire drum set). Its engine, the D4F, is absolutely bullet proof and is so good it has been in production since 2000, currently used in the Clio as a turbocharged variant.
