Audi TT Coupe 225 MK1 8N Quattro 2002 Silver I'd always hoped to own a MK1 Audi TT from the moment they were released back in 1998. On two occasions over the past 25 years I'd test driven examples I could afford, but they were not up to scratch, so I went for cheaper alternative cars at the time, a Fiesta ST and Skoda Octavia VRS respectively. However I finally realised the ambition of owning a Silver over Black 225 Quattro example, and of course having now owned it for 2 years and fixed everything, I want to move onto something else! It's been used a 2nd sort of weekend car for me, and it's great for putting a grin on your face. Having looked at what's for sale at the moment I'm coming to terms with the fact that it's been a costly exercise, and I will be losing a fair amount of money on this car, but hey, I'd always wanted one, so that's the cost of the entry. I purchased the car for 4500 in November 2023. And under my ownership the following jobs have all been done by local professional garages, receipts for all work included: Replaced rusting sills with new OEM ones (took 3 months to source) and wings + sills resprayed Full service Jan 2025 (Oil, all filters & spark plugs) AWD Haldex service New Cam belt and water pump New alternator New battery New temperature sensor Air con regas New windscreen wipers Wheels refurbished New Audi wheel caps New Continental Sport tyres all round, with 4wd alignment Front brake callipers 1x replaced / 1 x refurbished New prop shaft doughnut (they all start to wear out around 70,000 miles apparently, and can cause a fair amount of damage if not addressed) New front suspension bushes New Milltek stainless steel exhaust with cat, non lairy version, I'm 44 after all. Added the much sought after coffee cup holders to hold my beverages Original Bose Symphony stereo with CD Multichanger I would say that as a result of all the work that this is now a pretty special example of the car. I'm happy for any independent inspections from local garages, RAC, AA etc for your own piece of mind, but you can see from the above list that I've done everything that's been required during my ownership. The car is MOT'd, and it's had a major service in January of this year. The car is being kept in a locked facility where I work, viewings & inspections are encouraged, and I'll do my best to be available when suits you.
