Description

Jaguar S type R 4.2 V8 supercharged, producing 400 bhp and a 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds, an appreciating classic, genuine reason for sale. I have owned the Jaguar for 10 months approx. I bought it as a retirement hobby project, modern classic that needed a bit of tlc, having chosen the earlier version so as to allow for classic insurance and a much lower tax band than the later versions. A mechanically sound vehicle, but needing to be brought up to my standard cosmeticly. With all these S- types their main problem being sills. very difficult to check unless the covers are removed, so are not checked on mots. Check my mots, no mention of rust on sills, they all suffer, so I removed the covers and found rusted sills. I have had both sills replaced, waxoiled and undersealed. I have had any small scuff or parking dents rectified, so bodily the Jag is in great condition, you wouldn't think it was 23 years old ( please see photos) The interia is in very good condition, with the drivers seat bolster showing little sign of any wear ( check out photos) It has a sun roof that works perfectly as does all windows and folding mirrors. It has recently had a rear suspension overhaul and both drop links and track rod arms replaced as their rubber boots were slightly split. It has a great specification, top of the range. The sat nav has been updated to the last update available in 2013. There is a stamped service book and lots of early service receipts previous to 2013 The owner before me bought the car in 2013 and has had most services done by a friend ( a jaguar auto mechanic) so only receipts for recent documented services by a jaguar specialist are present, due to it having part service history ( it has covered less than 10,000 miles from 2013 to date) I have taken this into account and priced the vehicle accordingly. The car has 12 months mot and the advisory note as to the offside track rod end, has now been replaced, whilst doing this the nearside track rod end has now been replaced and new disks and pads fitted to front axle. The private registration has now been removed The car is on its original number of BJ52HUK
