The condition of the S60 is immaculate for its age, being a 19 year old car. It has a few stone chips on the front bumper, commensurate with having travelled over 100K miles. The silver metallic paintwork is rust free and shows no sign of accident damage or repair. It has 17" Orpheus alloy wheels (might need refurbishment if you want them perfect) with 2 x Michelin Pilot Sport 4's and 2 x Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. All tyres are recent and have 5.5mm of tread depth left. The windscreen has no chips or cracks in it.
The last MOT had one advisory (previous owner had a child seat fitted which blocked access to seat belt) so nothing needs attention.
The full leather interior is immaculate. The drivers seat bolster has a tiny bit of wear but is not cracked and hasn't lost shape. The drivers seat has 3 way electric memory settings and both front seats are heated. The door mirrors are electric, power fold and are heated. The car has cruise control, an HU 850 6-CD stereo and 3 cupholders, plus an original Volvo car mat set. The A/C blows ice cold and there are ZERO warning lights or messages on the dashboard.
Driving the S60 T5 is always a pleasure, thanks to the power and reliability of the 2.4 litre engine. With 260 HP available, it's never short in the performance department, yet easily returns over 40 MPG at 2500 RPM at 70 MPH, thanks to having a six speed gearbox. The ride is smooth and interior noise is much improved over its V70 stablemate, due to the saloon body shape.
Some Volvo enthusiasts regard the S60 T5 2.4 as a safer bet than the S60 R 2.5 due to the latter's tendency for issues with the AWD suspension and the thinner cylinder wall liners of the 2.5 litre engine, which can cause the block to crack. The 2.4 litre engine is trouble free & reliable.
Overall, this is a beautiful example of a very rare performance Volvo. Maintained properly and ready for its next enthusiast owner. It will provide years of enjoyable, luxurious and exciting motoring and will only increase in value.
Test drives will be conducted by me and only one other person in the car. Thank you. Any questions, please feel free to ask. Jonathan
