Description
Very Early Porsche 911 Carrera (996) - 3.4L Cable Throttle
As featured in the Collecting Cars Buyers Guide video, this is one of the earliest 996 Carreras, offering the purest water-cooled 911 experience. It features the desirable 3.4-litre flat-six, cable throttle, and pre-traction control setup, delivering an analogue feel that enthusiasts love.
Owned and maintained for many years by renowned Porsche specialist Autofarm, with no expense spared on maintenance. Comes with a huge file of paperwork, two keys, and a comprehensive service history. Preventative work includes IMS and RMS replacements, along with other remedial and preventative engine work as at one point it had a crack in the cylinder head which was replaced. As already stated a huge file of paperwork documents this and anything else required to keep the car in good mechanical condition. Oil changes and bore score inspections have been carried out regularly for peace of mind.
A Momo steering wheel is currently fitted (by myself), but the original wheel will be included. This is by no means an immaculate example cosmetically, but if you want a 996 Carrera 2 that looks fantastic, drives superb, and is mechanically spot-on, this is the one. I have owned it 12 months since purchasing it from Autofarm, other than a minor service and tyres it has been faultless. I would love to keep it but it has given me the 911 bug and I'm moving on to a 996 GT3.
