This is the sale of our 2012 MK6 Golf Convertible 2.0L BlueMotion Tech, Diesel, DSG automatic (with steering wheel paddles) since June 2019. Used only as a holiday car with frequent trips from the UK down to Barcelona for a few weeks at a time over the summer and touring all over Europe. Generally garaged or under cover from October to April, annually serviced every year at MOT time. Maintained regardless of costs. Timing belt and water pump done during my ownership, Brakes, Tyres, Handbrake cables, Callipers, Aircon condenser, Maps and head-unit updated. Maintenance was often not because it was broken or worn out, but because it needed to be perfect due to a strong desire to prevent breakdowns, which it never did. Often returns 55-62mpg on trips, with late 40`s mpg even if you are pushing on a bit. Factory removable towbar for bike rack or camping trailer. Space saver spare and tools complete. Factory foldable air Jammer to keep air turbulence at a minimum even at high speeds with the roof down. This car has rare factory original LED rear tail-lights and HID projector headlights (projection bulbs upgraded for LED - amazing) with auto dip function. Factory DRL lights in headlights. Computer-controlled LHD and RHD headlight alignment options. Auto cornering fog lights. Heated seats and full climate ice cold. Great stereo with Bluetooth. I use a simple Quad lock phone mount. Cruise control and every function works as it should. Insulated multi-layer roof, with no tears. Brand new high-quality battery. Car starts fine even if parked for a month at a time. Folding downlight auto-tinting wing mirrors. A few body blemishes. It would be an easy tidy-up up but not really necessary. I realised I needed to be realistic and not too precious with the bodywork with it being used extensively abroad. I had the wheels powder coated a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, the LH wheels both have some minor marks, but a cheap fix or don't bother. Two remote keys. Lots of docs and bills. I can refresh the MOT but it's not due until 4th March. Road-Tax is relatively inexpensive compared nowadays with similar alternatives. Euro 5. Only done 4530 miles since last MOT and service. Comes with a really nice new insulated waterproof car cover because we have just moved and having just brought it back from Spain to sell I didn`t want it leaving outside unprotected.
