Totally original series 2 land Rover. Tax and MOT exempt. Registered in Warwickshire on 1 Jan 1959. This is a very early series 2. This is not a series 2a. One previous owner, 33,788 original milage. All correct paperwork, original logbook from 01/01/59, 1984 and 2016. Details confirmed by a Heritage Certificate from the British Motor Museum. Chassis number: 146900733 - original chassis with number stamped on front right hanger, and plate in cab just where it should be. Original 2lt engine, with all the correct crazy pipework and filters and old style injectors included - but sadly this engine had a split block. Repairable. Can be slid back in. Currently a very early 2.25lt diesel in the engine bay - with the same old injectors etc as the 2lt. Both included - keep the 2.5 block, or repair the 2lt? Great patina. 4 new tyres and inners now fitted in anticipation. But both front swivel joints gone. further work on door pillars and front chassis now needed to turn this into an excellent example. note - for access - I've currently loosely bolted the front left wing and floor panel.
