I have owned this Defender for the last 6 years (Driven under 4000 miles in this time), and has been a joy to work on and drive, however moving house and time constraints, I have made the tough decision to pass it on to another keen mechanic like myself to enjoy. In my time owning this defender, I have mainly carried out mechanical maintenance to improve its reliability and overall drive experience, with a few listed below : - full set of new Brakes (disks and pads) - New rear axle (including front and rear differentials) - Front and rear half shafts and CV joints. - Steering damper - Radiator - air intake - Engine, diff and transmission oil changes every year to flush out gunk from sitting 7 years - new slave and master clutch cylinders - new battery The chassis is in great condition, I have scraped, re-painted and treated the chassis every winter, and have had any welding work carried out professionally when the need has risen. With the sale of this car, I will also be including (should you want them) all spare parts that I have either removed from the car, or acquired and not fitted, such as the pick-up cab roof + door, brand new rear shocks, CB radio and other small bits and bobs.
