Description
If you are looking for an engaging and entertaining sports car, could this F Type be for you? The 3 litre supercharged engine produces 340bhp and is great to drive on pretty much any road. The steering is sharp, but the suspension remains supple. Driving around a corner, you can feel the rear wheel drive as the revs rise from a rasp to a yowl above 4,000rpm. Get the short-throw gear change just right and you will be smiling all the way home.
In one of the best colours, Corris grey, and with 20" six spoke wheels, it looks sensational and is rare enough to stand out on our roads. Bought in March 2018, it has just 29,000 miles. It is fitted with a Larini s/s exhaust which makes a glorious sound, and it also comes with the original backbox if you fancy something a little more subdued.
The cabin feels light and airy with its panoramic roof. You sit low in the car with the centre console swooping up to the dash with the airvents which rise when needed. The dash also incorporates a 10 inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay built-in meaning along with the Meridian stereo you get to access Spotify, Waze or whatever. The red seatbelts add a splash of colour against the heated Alcantra sports seats. On longer drives (and lower rpm!) with cruise control on, it is a comfortable and relaxing place to be.
It has a comprehensive service history, having been serviced at main dealer and Jaguar specialists at 6k, 11k, 12k, 15k, 18k, 25k and 28k. The last service has just been done and was the larger of the two scheduled services. Front pads were replaced at 26k and the rear pads have around 5k miles left on them.
It has front and rear parking sensors and has a (thankfully unused) space saver wheel for emergencies. The rear tyres are brand new and the front tyres were fitted around 3,000 miles ago, so have around 5-6mm of tread. The car comes with 12 months MOT.
It has had one owner (me) from new and comes with 2 keys. A superb car and reluctantly sale as I am informed that I am allowed only one two-seater car at a time!
If you are wanting to set a new 'Ring record or can't be bothered to work out what gear you need to be in, then definitely go for an automatic, there are plenty about. However, if you are looking for a distinctive and immersive driving experience, a beautifully designed car that can do both sporting and daily driver and is reasonably inexpensive to run, then this might be the one.
