Sadly time to say goodbye to a faithful car. Have taken this from 93000 miles to the current 223000 miles. Has taken us all over Europe, carting bikes and luggage and generally working as a great daily workhorse.
Cosmetically not pretty, marks and scratches to many panels, mostly before my ownership, it is a 2006 car after all! Couple of small rust spots on the rear arches as pictured. Has been serviced well, folder full of receipts. Thule roof bars included with key, as they don't fit my new car. Alloys are genuine ( receipt included ) OZ alloys that have been refurbished in the past couple of years and still in good condition, fitted with Vredestein Quadrac all seasons with plenty of tread left. Symmetrical all wheel drive as standard.
New clutch a couple of years ago, new rad and air con rad/ drier in 2023. A/C is currently not working but was before the car was parked up for the last couple of months as I was away abroad. I suspect there's an O ring given up the ghost somewhere as it was working fine in December.
PCA dynamics springs, new dampers and STI top mounts fitted not long after I got the car at just over 100k miles, as I wanted to to feel fresh, and the suspension still feels good now all be it a few years on.
It's got some squeaks and rattles as only a Japanese car of a certain generation can have, but the interior is all pretty solid. Brakes upgraded to 4 pots at the front and Legacy/RB5 calipers at the rear, so it stops well! Braided lines fitted.
Yes it's old and a bit tatty in places, but it still covers ground well, and is great in the snow and cold particularly. Come take a look.
