Description

1972 MGB Roadster - Chrome Bumper - Overdrive - Low Mileage - Large History File - Hardtop This is my 1972 MGB Roadster which is a reluctant sale. I have owned the car since 2022, purchasing it from the previous owner who had owned the car along with his neighbour from new. The car has been well cared for and covered throughout its life and comes with a large history file including old MOT certificates, service records and the original 1972 owner's handbook. The car has covered just over 19,000 miles and drives exceptionally well. The engine starts easily from cold, runs smoothly and the car never overheats. The gearbox and overdrive both work exactly as they should. In August 2025 the car was professionally resprayed from its original yellow/orange to black. The paintwork is therefore in excellent condition and presents very well. The engine was not removed during the respray so some of the original colour can still be seen in parts of the engine bay. The interior is in excellent condition with very good seats, carpets, trim and door cards. The car has chrome wire wheels which are in great condition with good tyres. The car also benefits from a number of upgrades to improve reliability and usability including electronic ignition, electric radiator cooling fan, uprated alternator, new spark plugs, Pan style air filters and Securon seatbelts. The rear has also been fitted with a subtle lowering kit to make it sit level. The car comes with a hardtop as well as the soft top. Recent work and upgrades include: Electronic ignition Electric radiator cooling fan Uprated alternator New carpets Spark plugs Air filters Securon seatbelts Rear lowering kit Chrome side trims Various electrical work, fuses and bulbs Things to note: The chrome bumpers show some age related wear. Some of the original yellow paint is visible in parts of the engine bay. The boot area could benefit from a polish. The interior light and windscreen washers are not currently working. The speedometer cable is slightly incorrect so the speedometer reads inaccurately. The hazard lights currently only operate on the left side due to a loose connection. The soft top will need new plastic windows due to cracks Overall, A low milage chrome bumper MGB roadster that can be enjoyed immediately.
