Reluctant sale of my 1999 TVR Chimaera 5.0 V8 with a Taraka Plus upgrade engine rebuild by Powers Performance - see here on the Powers Performance website - . As a late/facelift model this car has power steering. I have owned this car since September 2021. Current mileage is just under 81,000, with the Taraka upgrade and rebuild being done less than 1,000 miles ago in December 2021. For various reasons I haven't been able to use the car much since the rebuild, and I must finally admit that it is time for this wonderful car to be passed on to someone who will actually drive it that way it was intended to be driven!! Last service was in April 2025, when it also passed its MOT with no advisories. I will provide a new MOT prior to sale. In my ownership it has always been parked in a dry garage and only taken out on dry days. Powers Performance carried out the Taraka Plus rebuild plus other work including upgraded injectors, suspension components and bushes, Gaz shocks kit, upgraded engine mounts, brake discs and pads front and back, diff bushes, fuel hoses, etc, etc. The total bill for this work was 17,674. The car comes with a lever arch folder full of receipts for servicing and maintenance going back to 2003. It also has the original stamped service history book / Owner's Manual. The exterior colour is Cosmos Blue, with Stratos blue interior in gorgeous condition. The seats, carpet, switch gear, steering wheel, gear knob, etc are all in lovely condition, all electrics including windows work as they should. There are some stone chips to the front bumper. The wheels are all good, with matching tyres. Underneath, the outriggers were replaced under previous ownership to a very high standard. Otherwise the chassis retains its original powder coating with no rust. The roof is also in very good condition - no rips or tears to the windows or fabric. Comes with 2 keys. 4 previous owners.
