Description

Seal grey with optional Turbo Twist wheels. Not your typical example. In April 2026 alone, over 15k was spent with a Porsche specialist (engine-out), on top of a further ~3k invested over the last three years. The result is a properly sorted, mechanically strong example, ready for long-term ownership. At over 20 years old, these cars reach the point where meaningful investment is unavoidable. There are cheaper Turbos available - plenty of them. But bringing one up to this mechanical standard can easily run into 5 figures. This uncertainty has been removed. I've been THAT owner, absorbing the cost to ensure the car is ready for the next 20 years. That's what genuinely sets this example apart. Paintwork and wheels present exceptionally well for the age, with only light stone chips and one small scratch (no dent) on the rear boot lid (pictured). Major Engine-Out Work - April 2026 Everything that needed doing was done, including: - Major service - Alternator - Starter motor - Coolant temperature sensor - Water pump housing (1.5k part alone) - Battery - Bonnet struts - Wing mirror controls Both turbos professionally refurbished by AET Turbos with upgraded bearings (~3,000) All turbo-associated hardware replaced (~4,000 in parts): - Feed & return pipes - Actuators - Suction pipes - Clamps, covers, oil collection tanks - Exhaust gaskets and fittings Additional coolant pipework and engine bay components replaced Previously fitted: - Upgraded metal impeller water pump (March 2024 - known weak point on originals) - Rear brake lines and brake fluid change - Genuine Porsche 6 pot brake calliper conversion up front - 490hp remap by well renowned JZM Porsche (2016) Air conditioning works perfectly. Michelin tyres all round; inspection in March 2026 showed 5-6mm tread and minimal disc/pad wear (~1mm). Eight owners total, which is typical for a 20+ year old performance Porsche and reflective of enthusiast ownership rather than neglect. The file of documentation is extensive. The 996 Turbo is now firmly recognised as a modern classic. Well-sorted examples like this are becoming harder to find and values are holding strong. Reluctant sale due to pressing need for something more practical. Inspections welcome. Happy to answer questions.
