Mercedes SLK 55 Amg rapidly becoming very collectible. After a few Jaeger bombs, the AMG department decided it would be a good idea to fit a 360 bhp V8 with a 7 speed box into something the size of a Ford Focus Nuts! But what a car. The power to weight ratio is mad and the torque off the scale and the noise..the noise. The Car Anyway, I'd always fancied one of these and searched for that special one with all the history, well cared for and a good spec. Obsidian Black was the best colour for these. The history is so comprehensive it even has the original bill of sale and spec sheet from Merc dealer! Car was registered direct on a private plate T111 SLK, and to keep the cars history, this comes with the sale. It's valued at a grand. No loud exhaust mods, it doesn't need it, these on cold start are loud anyway. The exhaust is only about 6 foot long as the car is so short. Sat nav upgraded to most recent version although the tech is 20 years old, it still works. Sensible mods; Sprint Boost adjustable accelerator - Mercs of this age all have laggy throttle response, touch the throttle it doesn't respond straight away. It does now! Improves response to modern car stds Blue tooth, hands free and streaming blended into original stereo. Keeps the look, adds functionality Steering wheel paddles - upgraded from those awful buttons. Much nicer. Original buttons included though if you want that back to stock. All the above can be removed with no holes, wires or nothing left behind. Optional spec ordered when new included the optional 5 AMG spokes instead of vanes, rain sensing wipers, air scarf, power fold mirrors, roof operation integrated into key, Harmon Kardon surround, parameter steering, COMAND, Tracker, self dimming mirrors, adding another 4 grand on the pricethen the extended leather Orient Beige Nappa option, leather centre console..A well specced and unusual combo, I've not seen another. Car drives amazing, no faults or codes, roof works seamlessly, original wind breaks supplied, full tool kit and spare. New original Mercedes 2 piece rotors and new pads for the enormous AMG calipers and cheap road tax and classic insurance. Any inspection or test drive welcome. I am afraid though that I don't answer "what's your lowest price mate" questions. Serious buyers start off with a viewing as I have found over the years. This is the best one you'll see and drive and is priced to sell.
