Description
Up for sale is my trusty Mercedes-Benz E270 CDI Avantgarde (W211). I have owned and driven this car faithfully for the last 13 years with zero major issues. This is from the era when German automotive engineering was the true definition of quality, luxury, and bulletproof durability.
The legendary 5-cylinder 2.7 CDI engine and automatic gearbox combination in the W211 chassis are built to last forever. I am only selling because my wife insisted on getting a newer car!
Key Highlights & Maintenance:
* **Engine & Gearbox:** Healthy engine that doesn't consume a drop of oil. Smooth automatic gearbox with an oil change done around 12,000 miles ago.
Brakes:** Both copper rear brake lines recently replaced. Discs and pads all round in good condition.
Honest Condition & Things to Note:**
Cosmetics: Over 13 years as a daily driver, it has picked up age-related scuffs, scratches, and a cracked plastic piece on the lower left front grille (visible in photos). Please don't expect a showroom condition car this is an honest, reliable workhorse.
* **Air Conditioning:** A/C is currently not working.
* **Hissing sound on acceleration:** There is a whooshing/hissing sound under heavier acceleration/higher RPMs. Likely a small boost leak (split intercooler hose) or a minor middle-exhaust leak. However, I can't say for sure exactly what it is. You can't hear it when the vehicle is stationary.
The car is ready to drive away today and will serve its next owner for a long time with a little bit of TLC. Due to the age, mileage, and minor bits mentioned, it is sold as seen / mechanic's project.
