It has the solid, comfortable driving feel these cars are known for, with a smooth automatic gearbox, good road manners and a very comfortable black leather interior. The cabin has aged well and comes with plenty of useful specification including heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, multifunction steering wheel, Mercedes infotainment system, alloy-style interior trim and the usual electric features. The car presents well inside and out and, as you can see from the photos, the interior is still smart for its age. The leather seats are in good usable condition, the dashboard and centre console present nicely and everything has that sturdy, well-built feel associated with these older Mercedes models. It would make a very comfortable everyday car, motorway cruiser or longer-distance vehicle. Mechanically, the car drives well once running and has recently benefited from new injectors and new glow plugs, so a fair amount of work has already been carried out. There is currently a slightly rough start from cold, which settles down once the engine has warmed up and the car then runs normally. We believe it may potentially require a glow plug control/module, so this has been reflected in the description and should be considered by the next owner. We would rather mention this upfront than describe the car as faultless. Once warm it drives very nicely, with good power delivery and a smooth automatic transmission. Steering feels positive, the car sits comfortably on the road and it retains the relaxed driving character that makes this generation of C-Class such a good long-distance car. Overall, this is an attractive and well-specced Mercedes with plenty going for it, particularly considering the recent injector and glow plug work. It isn't being advertised as a perfect new car, and naturally there are age-related marks and signs of use, but it remains a smart, comfortable example with a good specification.
