Reluctantly having to part with what I intended to be my forever car. Due to ill health (I now have mobility issues and struggle to get in and out) I very rarely use the car. As much as I enjoy looking at it on the drive, I need something more practical for me to get into. The 996 are fast becoming desirable now people are realising these are great cars and an affordable way to get into a Porsche 911. One of the last truly analogue sports cars, no driver aids other than ABS and the weight of your right foot! Desirable spec - manual, non sunroof model. 030 sport suspension, wingback sports seats, Alcantara roof lining, stainless steel exhaust, SportDesign split rim wheels clad in Michelin rubber. 2 keys. Lots of history , stamps in book are Porsche dealer until 113k miles, then independent receipts documenting the last 20k miles since 2012. Absolutely amazing condition for a 26 year old car, bar a small area of rust on front arch that needs correcting. Sadly, car was a CAT D in 2012. This was when values of 996's were pretty poor, so wouldn't have taken much damage to CAT. Obviously the damage was minimal, or the repair was to an extremely high standard (probably both) as even after 14 years you would never know. I have never been able to establish where the damage occured. Owned for 3 years, V5 present and in my name. Private plate will be removed. Do not want, or need, canvassers, tyre kickers or test pilots. Nor do I need "experts" to point out any faults. Nobody will be driving this without money being in my pocket, I do not have enough time for messers.
