Since then the previous owner and myself have put a substantial amount more money into preventative maintenance and small mods. RUST- MX5s rust, regardless of miles covered they rust, arguably lower millage even worse. Mine was cared for by "MX5 Restorers" 3 years ago bellow 30k miles (big cost). Entire underside professionally treated with before and after photos for proof of workmanship. This cost a small fortune and a lot of labour, stripping any surface rust and weatherproofing. Both this and coolant are good for 10+ years - Oil changes & filter at standard intervals (every 6k) All 4 wheels have Goodyear eagle asymmetric 6 UHP tyres all round (500+) these have about 5k miles on them, they are fantastic - I have receipts for everything. Cosmetic/ quality of life mods - smart top roof module (over 300)- Real Japanese carbon boot with ducktail spoiler (600+ shipping + import + fitting cost). Neither rusts, the steel factory boot does often! I have the original but it's damaged from spoiler. OEM ones are cheap on eBay.- Leather interior, looks unreal. - Front & rear sensors and reverse camera with Apple CarPlay unit (1k+)with receipt, professionally installed.- Entryway footwell lights (red)- Smoked side repeaters. I have the originals also. - RX8 wiper stalk, safer with more intermittent settings. Have the original.- Short antenna - Dechromed & rear tint. All can be reverted back with relative ease. Imperfections - Rear camera wire has some damage, The boot is so light that you have to apply more pressure to close it then stock (steel boot standard for PRHT). Still works as normal otherwise, saves weight & will never rust. - The roof and side mirrors initially had a black wrap, which I've removed.
