It's been well looked after and regularly maintained as its accompanying Invoices and paperwork attests.THE INTERIOR* Nice leather interior, recently re-trimmed* Air conditioning* Windbreak* Very good condition throughoutThe Interior of a Mercedes SL is always a nice place to be, and with its recently re-trimmed front leather seats and its overall good condition, this one is no exception.The contrasting beige interior works well with the dark black exterior paintwork and, other than a very small tear in the hood's inner lining which is an easy fix, all the wood and all the rest of the trim look really good. It's good to see that this car still has its wind-break and factory hard-top included too and that everything works as it should.THE EXTERIOR* Good condition Black paintwork* Good wheels and recent new tyres* Factory hard-top*The original paintwork is beginning to show its age in places with some small areas where the paint has discoloured over time, and you'll also see some areas of lightly bubbling paint, but nothing at all sinister. The front of the car and the bonnet have recently been painted to sort out some stone chips, the rear offside wing has a scratch in it and there is some chipped paint and some discolouration of the paint on the boot lid.Wheels and tyres are all good, there's small scuff on the front bumper and one of the headlights looks like it has had some water in it so it may need cleaning out and re-sealing. The hood mechanism works nice and smoothly and other than the hood itself having a few scuffs and being a bit threadbare in places it fits well and benefits from having had a new rear section quite recently.THE MECHANICS* Excellent service history* Regularly serviced and used* New stainless steel exhaust system* New radiator, distributor cap and leads* Recently fully serviced and ready to goThe car runs really well, with no issues and being an SL500 there's plenty of performance as well as comfort to be enjoyed.The exhaust has recently been replaced with a full stainless steel system and other than the owner's recommendation that the air-conditioning is re-gassed following the fitting of a new radiator.
