1984 LAND ROVER LIGHTWEIGHT SERIES 3 FFR 'WINTERISED' Owned for 16 years, this vehicle was winterised for operations in northern Europe (amf-l), including the arctic heater modifications and should be tax and MOT-exempt next year, Currently showing 72,000 kilometers (approx 45,000 miles) The land rover is all original and still 24volt, the chassis bulkhead and top rail are all solid, nos FFR canopy recent MOT with brakes overhauled including new servo, new oil cooler pipes, maintained regardless of cost. The lightweight was re-commissioned when I purchased it as the previous owner had issues with the vehicle wiring, which lead to an insurance claim. 15 years ago when these land rovers were valued at around 3k it was easier for them to write a vehicle off than try to repair them. I had a specialist replace it with a new MOD specification wiring harness (FFR wiring still original) and a new steering box, with no other issues needed for the mot and VOSA inspection (paperwork available) to get the old girl back on the road and she only costs around 140 a year to insure. For sale due to loss of indoor storage and not being used as much as it should be, currently under 200 miles per year as this is a third vehicle. The paint requires some small areas touched up and it would benefit from a good underseal but I would rather the condition can be seen as is, to show the good condition of the chassis etc. Comes with the very rare infra-red headlight covers (domed type) and the original 6.50x16 tyres and rims are available if required.
