This car was removed from the main manufacture line and was built by the 'exclusive program' line due to the fact it is a sunroof delete model ('which allows for a stiffer body shell and subsequent better handling) it was delivered to Porsche main dealer 'Stratstone of wilmslow' on the 12-10-2001. Clearly a car that was designed to be simple yet a true drivers car.This car has had a full engine rebuild less than 8000 miles ago, this was carried out by e-Porsche with full documentation for works undertaken, the reason for rebuild was due to slight bore score a common issue on these engines.The all important IMS bearing was replaced with an updated version as was the rear main seal, again invoices and photographic evidence of all works.At the time of rebuild the engine was fitted with a 'Spider performance kit' and GT3 plenum chamber, including valvetronic exhaust system and air filter, the car is tuned to around 368hp (a reliable but fast compromise)The car runs on continental tyres on unmarked wheels, fitted to new hubs, including discs pads and indeed calliper rebuilds all around.It is lowered by a very small amount and has a fully adjustable 'Gecko' racing suspension set up which gives a fantastic usable ride with the option to track use with ease.Every air hose, water hose, fuel line, brake hose and line has been replaced including the ones that run over the top of the gearbox, again photographic and invoice proof is within car is as clean underneath as it is above.The car has just had its MOT and another service and has been serviced regardless of mileage every year in my ownership.This year I have also had the fuel tank and fuel system cleaned including a new fuel pump and sender unit whilst they had the tank out.It has new alarm sensors, a common problem, and new instrument stalks, again a common problem.The car is in fantastic condition, but not concours, it is a very useable classic with absolutely no issues. Car is recognised and register as a classic with Porsche. This allows benefits such as cheaper insurance, guaranteed value payouts and historic records. Two genuine Porsche keys supplied.
