Rare and totally original series 2 land Rover. Registered in Warwickshire on 1 Jan 1959. This is a very early series 2 and a milestone in the development of the Landrover as we know it. This is not a series 2a. This landy is as it left the factory. One previous owner, 33,788 original milage, no modifications or tampering since 1959. All correct paperwork, original logbook from 01/01/59, 1984 and 2016. All details confirmed by a Heritage Certificate from the British Motor Museum. Chassis number: 146900733 - original chassis with number stamped on front right hanger, and plate in cab just where it should be. Tax and MoT exempt. Original 2lt engine included, with all the correct crazy pipework and filters and old style injectors (same as a Fergie grey), but sadly this engine had a split block. I've been told its repairable, so I got hold of a very early 2.25lt diesel, with the old injectors etc - currently fitted and running - but only half an exhaust! Great patina. Note the one piece doors l, (with some well done repairs), for the canadian market apparently. Some further work on door pillars and front chassis now needed to turn this into an excellent example. note - I've currently loosely bolted the front left wing and floor panels for access.
