These cars were literally supercar money back then and indeed marketed as such by Mazda. All UK cars were the same spec, top of the range Turbo models with all options and known as RXT. Supplied in June 1990 by Howard Quirk Mazda of Chelmsford to the original owner who kept the car for 27 years until a change in circumstances meant that in May 2017 the owner contacted an ex partner of the original supplying Mazda dealership (who the by then had retired himself) to offer the car to a new custodian. He knew exactly who to approach - one of his ex employees and a highly respected Mazda rotary technician who knew of this car having worked on it as a service tech back in the 90s and likely PDI checked this exact car. He had always desired one. He serviced and used the car then stored it during Covid. I purchased the car around 2 years ago from him but having no spare garage space, I left the car with him in its secure storage and SORN. Upon removing the car from the storage garage it started "on the button" and subsequently waltzed through an MOT test with no advises. So the 2 keepers in its 34 years are the original owner and a Mazda rotary technician. An unformidable pedigree I think you will agree. The car has always been garaged in its life - hence its condition. It as clean beneath as it is on top. It starts on the button and is a superb drive. The Rotary engine sounds amazing and when you squeeze the throttle and the revs rise and the turbo kicks in it is like being fired from a gun. The paintwork is gleaming having been professionally polished and detailed to remove any swirls. The interior is the same standard with carpets etc all like new. dash and plastics all beautiful and as it was always garaged there is no warping or sun damage. Leather seats are virtually unmarked with no sun damage. Power hood all works like new. Original BBS polished alloys that have not been kerbed. Original stereo, book pack, overmats, all tools and tonneau cover, even the original tax disc holder. Gleaming. An absolute showstopper. It must be the most original, well kept, Lowest mileage, lowest keeper UK RX7 available.
