Description

BMW E46 6 speed manual touring in Stahlgrau (steel grey). A rare beast in great cosmetic condition inside and out - a testament to the enthusiast owners it's had in the past. Sitting at 213557 miles (might go up a bit) the bullet-proof M54, in-line 6 engine feels great and pulls hard when floored (though I've never red lined it!) and is ULEZ free. It's been well maintained all it's life with a large stack of paperwork, service stamps and past receipts. Many well looked after M54s have gone to 500+k miles so this is only just run in :) I've used it primarily for trips to Noth Wales (from London) to see the in-laws and it's never let me down. Previous owner was a car seller who flipped it to me but the one prior worked in the trade and I believe was the one that modified the car as follows:Ram Air intake, Lowering springs, Auto to manual conversion with dual mass flywheel, M3 wing mirrors, Infinity sound system with Pioneer stereo (usb and aux), new speakers all round, additional tweeters and a sub in the rear. Sub not pictured as I never used it and is stored but will be included in the sale. Amp in spare wheel well as pictured. Speedo cluster (hence slight discrepancy in mileage when you car vertical it) it's not that big of a difference and it never bothered me cos the M54 is so robust. No a/c. Everything can of course be reverted to stock if so wished. It appears to always have been regularly serviced with a stack of receipts to show any work carried out, though the aforementioned keeper wasn't great with keeping records as I've been. I will give it a fresh MOT for the new buyer. It had a service for the last MOT which included oil and filters with new sparks and I replaced the ageing grille, front lenses, indicators, badges, wipers etc and as you can see from the pics, it looks great! Other bits:It sits on the ever-desirable 18" style 32 OEM wheels that I had completely stripped and refurbed but have unfortunately curbed a couple times since on the front. Rears are still mint. Recently shod with Chinese tyres as I knew I was going to sell soon so wanted to keep costs down but the tyres have plenty of tread. There are a couple of small dings and stone chips in the bodywork as to be expected from a car of this age and although there is some light wear to the driver's side bolster, the interior is in great shape. All electrics work (!) apart from rear window defroster (fuse?) and intermittent parking sensors. All in all a great, reliable fun car to drive Next MOT due 23/05/2024, Full service history, Grey, 4 owners, £3,475
