Description
Mercedes 560SEC with 5.6 litre 300bhp AMG modified engine. The 560SEC was revered by the rich and famous as well as Formula 1 champions including Ayrton Senna and Nigel Mansell amongst others. The first joint product between AMG and Mercedes-Benz, the AMG C36 was not introduced until 1993. For years prior to that, the two companies were co-operating to the extent that the AMG cars were being delivered with full company warranties through Mercedes-Benz dealers, however these vehicles were prohibitively expensive and therefore very rare.Introduced in 1990, the 560 SEC AMG was perhaps the most fabled of these "pre-merger" upgraded automobiles. However, my car was modified by AMG in 1989 prior to the 'wide body version' and underwent extensive modifications to engine, suspension and braking as well as options including sunroof, cruise control, AMG Penta alloys, electrically adjusted and heated seats, climate control to name a few. I have documented proof from AMG to support the cars provenance. This is a very rare car, having been carefully maintained throughout its life, generally by MB owners club members and has undergone necessary sympathetic restoration to ensure it retains it's authenticity.Due to my age and a recent injury now is the time for someone else to enjoy this infamous car.
