Description

Signal Red, matching hardtop, black soft top, black sport check interior, 4- speed auto, ABS, cruise control, electric windows, rear seats, new Blaupunkt radio/CD/Bluetooth/MP3 player, original 15" alloy wheels, recent Continental tyres all round, FSH, central locking, all tools and manuals, 123,000 miles. This lovely vehicle was supplied new by Sunningdale Carriage Company of Ascot to a local gentleman in October 1988, and spent the first two years of its life there with very few miles covered. It then went to Cheshire, where it stayed until around 1998 with several registered keepers, including some company to private owner transfers and keeper changes for plate transfer reasons. By that time, at ten years old, it had done around 82,000 miles. After that it went to a gentleman in Chesterfield, where it stayed for seven years of sparing use until purchased by a musician from Leicester, who used it equally sparingly covering only 4,000 miles in the ten years he owned it. In 2015 Cheshire Classic Benz supplied it to a retired gentleman in Blackpool. He had nowhere to keep it, so stored it with them and periodically took the train to them on sunny days to take it out for a run. Unfortunately the direct rail service from Blackpool was discontinued, making it impractical for him to continue this pattern of use, so he parted with it in 2016 having covered less than 1,000 miles during his period of ownership. The car then went to Bath until it was let go to its next owner in 2018 by Lawton Brook to a lady in Harrogate. I bought the car in 2023 from Redline Harrogate and I'm only selling to make room in the garage for another project. I have a big file of MOT's, Invoices and V5's going all the way back. She is in fantastic condition and a real usable Classic Benz. There are a few things that could be improved including; some slight bubbling on the OSR wheel arch (original wings) and some bubbling on the rear bumper (behind the rubber) where the bolts go through. I showed the car to my local paint specialist who suggested I leave alone and enjoy the car. She has all original tools, first aid kit, manuals and even a swing ticket for the cruise control option. This car has never been restored, repaired nor welded from what I know. I have other classic cars including Healeys, Astons and Defenders so very, very picky when buying cars. I am not one for wasting peoples time so you will get a complete and transparent view should you wish to discuss. Next MOT due 13/08/2024, Full service history, Red, 5+ owners, £23,999
