Description

I will not bore you with the specs of this car, if you are looking at Jags then you know this portfolio spec is all the bells and whistles. However what you will want to know is why the engine mileage is different to actual. I bought this car after lockdown June 8 2020 the mileage at the time suggested it needed cambelt doing, the dealership agreed to this and a service as part of the sale (was given receipts). This car was a treat to myself after years of driving an S-Max and was the most expensive car I had bought to date. However 9 months later on a routine drive to the shop I get a gearbox fault warning. Only being less than a mile from home I hoped I would get there, I did not. My local Jag indy garage told me the engine was seized and if the oil was less than 4 years old they would be surprised (an expensive lesson of trust for me). After a few "discussions" with the wife we agreed we would use the savings to rescue the Jag. Eventually we found a breaking jag (rear impact) with an engine with just 54,719 on and agreed on 3000 for engine and gearbox (at this point the car had 124,677 on the clock). With the engine out it made sense to change the timing belt and ancillary drive belt, I also got the gearbox serviced too along with a stage 1 Viezu remap (now 301bhp). The car currently sits at 160k meaning this work was done just 35k ago, meaning you have another 50k - 60k (or 7 years) before it needs doing again. I was always going to keep this car hence just spending 1440 on spraying 5 panels in June to then be informed 2 days later that I will be a dad again and "instructed "3 children will require 7 seats. The car has served us well going to Czech twice a year (wife is Czech) every year , I have included my favourite picture of her up in the Czech mountains. Since April it has had a very sporadic "resticted perfomance" issue (1 / 2 times a month), so was only right to get this fixed before sale, attempt 1 was a MAP sensor replacement (didn't work), turned out to be a split in the inlet manifold and a small hole in a vacuum cross over pipe, she runs sweet again with no issues. she has been serviced every year since new engine and 6 months after each service I changed the oil and filter myself (will include pump / oil / tutorial in sale). You will struggle to find a better looked after engine and every year I have cleaned and waxed oiled the arches. Next MOT 15-07-25 Next Service 01-08-25. Next MOT due 15/07/2025, Full service history, Red, 5+ owners, £11,250
