Description
Genuine sale of a well maintained MGB. I bought this vehicle over 7 years ago with the intention of reliving my younger days when I was fairly capable with car maintenance. The previous owner had only travelled 14 miles in 9 years of ownership and that mileage was mainly an annual trip to the MOT station and back! The car initially required recommissioning to be reliable. Work done includes: new battery, fuel pump, replacement of some fuel lines, new brake callipers all round and disc, drums, new brake master cylinder. New stainless steel exhaust, electronic ignition plus various cables replaced including bonnet catch, choke and accelerator. The car is reliable and great fun to drive and the main reason for me selling is that I am 6'2" tall and am now struggling to successfully manipulate my xl legs on to the pedals with an ageing back! Potential buyers, please study the photos carefully. The car looks great from 10 metres away or if you squint. The bodywork I would describe as well patinaed or some may say tatty. It looks like the previous owner has had a go at most panels with varying standards of success. In saying that, the car is solid and has no MOT advisories for rot since I have had it. It even passed the MOT this time without any advisories. I have some receipts for what I have done but I cannot vouch for anything prior to this. The car runs on unleaded fuel. It is historic vehicle registered and does not need an MOT. No road tax either and it costs me less than 100 pound to insure. I have put a realistic price on the vehicle so it gives someone else a bit of scope to tidy up and still have a reasonably priced Roadster. The vehicle is a basic MGB hence the "Deckchair seats" (Striped) and no overdrive although I find it is still perfectly comfortable travelling at 60 mph. Please ring Mark for a chat about the car if you have any questions. I work shifts, so I my not always be able to answer-sorry! Next MOT due 21/08/2025, White, 5+ owners, £3,750
