This Mercedes-Benz SL 320 R129 is a future classic, currently appreciating in value. She was manufactured in 1996, and initially registered as a diplomatic car in Indonesia, so is fully specc'd, including the original hardtop (original paperwork available). She was sold on 27 August 1999 to a professor in Weybridge, Surrey for 36000 (original receipt available with V5C). During this period of ownership it was pretty much kept in storage full time (all MOT certs, tax discs and receipts available - even tax reminders have been retained!) The majority of work was Mercedes / Mercedes specialist. Servicing has been carried out at 11,052 miles, 23,570 miles, 29,658 miles, 34,402 miles. I purchased the vehicle on 17th Nov 2022 and have used it almost as a daily. The mileage is a smidge over 44000 at the moment. During my ownership I have serviced it on the 18th August 2023 (sorry, not 100% what mileage it was at), replaced 6 spark plugs, spark plug leads, drive belt, hydraulic pump on the electric roof, renewed both lower front suspension wishbone arms, renewed both rear brake discs and pads, replaced all 4 tyres and professional respray on the bonnet. No expense spared. She has also been frequently cleaned. The exterior is silver while the interior is grey and features premium leather seats. The car comes with a variety of features such as power windows, air conditioning, premium sound system, electronic stability control, and alloy wheels. Additionally, it has several safety features including driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock brakes, and traction control.The car retains the original corded car phone and original pioneer CD/cassette stereo with CD changer in the boot - it's not great by today's standards but top class for the time! This is a brilliant classic that is reliable and can be used more then other cars of this age - the roof works and is amazing in the summer. The engine makes a great noise! As you'd expect for a 28 year old car, it's not perfect - it has the odd blemish or mark (no major rust however) - however she turns heads, sounds great and is a good first classic if you want an old car that you can actually use.
