Description
I bought this car in February and carried out the maintenance these cars need at 9 years old, but is often not done. I was bought it for a three-day week commute from the South Downs national park into central London. Unfortunately, the commute was too onerous and the train is going to have to take the strain. So, sadly, I'll have to let it go. In the last 4000 or so miles, this car has had the cambelt, water pump and auxiliary belt changed. Also, a new windscreen, new rear brakes, an autobox and Haldex service, new battery and four new Goodyear all season tyres. It has a full service record (printed off Volvo's dealer intranet) with the last oil change in October '23 at Ray Chapman in Yorkshire. I also had it machine polished. In really excellent condition inside and out. Clearly never used as a family workhorse. Hard to fault overall. Runs beautfully, refined engine and is very nippy on the motorway. We live in a 'dark area' and the headlamps are spectacular. As for the CAT S status - I bought this from a retired owner of a main dealer, who bought it from a Volvo salvage specialist. He said the repair was strictly bolt-on parts which the salvage yard had to hand because they had an identical flooded XC70. In any case, it has done 7000 miles since and had a clean Volvo health check a year ago. It can be inspected locally if required. Next MOT due 15/08/2025, Full service history, Black, 4 owners, £13,940
