This is an excellent 2 litre petrol hardtop convertible MX5. Lovingly owned by a mechanic this 166bhp roadster has been fitted with VMAXX adjustable height coilover suspension, stiffened anti-roll bars and IL motorsport chassis braces giving the already agile car an extreme amount of handling and control. Many other components have also been replaced over the years to maintain top performance, including suspension wishbones, front brake calipers and track rod arms. The entire steering geometry has been looked after meaning the car's fully adjustable tracking is bang on point and is readily adjustable without fear of seized components. As a bonus it is also Scottish LEZ compliant.This car was my project car for some years, the project has been completed and other life ventures have taken over. This car would suit the buyer looking for an excellent car for handling and driving experience, or someone with project ambitions of their own (turbo mod, perhaps?). I'm selling the car with the Hayne's manual, the VMAXX manual and ride height adjuster tool, a car cover and the rear chassis brace.The car has partial service history up to 2018 when I bought the car. In my younger years I did not appreciate the importance of record keeping and serviced the car myself like clockwork every year. There is no record of this hoever so you'll just have to take my word for it :)The biggest flaw the car currently has is that it has no boot lining, it just goes straight to metal. This is because I removed the lining to trace body faults which I successfully fixed, never put the lining back in and then moved house and lost the lining. Another set could be easily pulled from a breaker's yard, but it never bothered me so i haven't done it. It is currently lined with insulation. It does have some minor cosmetic marks on the paintwork which are pictured, this is all taken into account in the price and is balanced against the good mechanical condition of the vehicle.
