Description
Highly developed carrera 2 with full engine rebuild, suspension, drivetrain and chassis improvements. This car was built as the ultimate 996 carrera, bridging the gap between a standard car and a GT3. And by ultimate i don't mean colourful seat inserts and a mono steering wheel, but ground up mechanical improvements. It has received all the mechanical mods from RPM Technik's highly developed CSR modifications menu. The party piece is the engine, which was rebuilt as a "CSR Evo". Fully blueprinted and balanced. While the engine was being rebuilt we took the opportunity to retro fit the IMS from the last 997 engine that used one. This cannot be fitted to an engine without taking it appart and is a vast improvement on the orignal IMS design. It loves to rev and sounds fantastic. Expect c.30bph over stock and lovely induction noise. This is the same engine as the purple 996 CSR Evo (for which you will find a few YouTube video reviews) and i was told it made more power than that one when being set up on the dyno before break-in. All done at a huge cost (you could buy a 996 for less money than this engine). The list of mods is extensive, but here are some highlights:- Engine: fully rebuilt RMP Technik CSR Evo engine- Exhaust: x-pipe cats, switchable back boxes (on the dash like OEM PSE)- Transmission: lightweight flywheel, LSD- Chassis: KW V3 (3 way adjustable) coilovers, adjustable lower control arms, updated anti roll bars. This was set up by String Theory in Stratford-upon-Avon and they did an amazing job. Car is planted and a real joy to drive.- Brakes: braided lines, race fluid, Pagid RS pads - incredible stopping power (discs and pads have lots and lots of life on them)- Wheels: GT3 split rims (the larger ones), brand new Michelin PS4S (need the larger rims to get a fit, much better than the PS2)- Interior: alcantara steering wheel (OEM with airbag re-upholstered), short shifter kit and after market gear level that brings it closer to the wheel- Body: OEM GT3 front bumper and matching 996mk2 skirts. Next MOT due 14/06/2025, Silver, 5+ owners, £34,500
