We are selling our family car due to a switch to an EV. This car is fully specced and has served our family of 4 extremely well (2 adults, 2 toddlers). The only reason for sale is that we have switched to a full EV. This car is a PHEV (plug in hybrid) in Gravity Blue (premium colour), and as most of our mileage is local, we are seeing over 2,000 miles to a tank of petrol. We get on average, 35 miles to a full charge of battery, in addition to the 2l petrol engine. The cabin ergonomics of the Kia Optima really are up there with more expensive competitors. There is a huge boot (440l rising to 1574l when the rear seats are folded), there is an excellent amount of rear leg room (or in our case with twin boys, lots of space for two car seats) and the car drives excellently as you'd expect from a Kia petrol-electric hybrid. Combined with an energy supplier such as Octopus, this car has cost us very little to run as we can regularly charge the car for free when Octopus are giving away free electric meaning that most of our journeys haven't cost us anything.
