Description

Here for sale is my first model year Porsche 996 Carrera 2 Tiptronic Coupe 1998 (June). It is a very well optioned car with the sort after M030 Sport package, hard backed sport seats, lowered stiffer suspension and traction control. Leather seats, steering wheel and a electric sun roof. Private plate included. It has a fresh MOT which it passed with a couple of advisory items which you can see on the GOV MOT history check website. The car has a folder full of receipts for service work and repairs carried out over its life time and a full set of manuals and service book with stamps. I recently spent 4,100 spent on new socks, wheel bearings, wishbones and then a further 615 on new brake discs and pads. It runs and drives very well, starts first time, brakes are all good, all the electrics work, the tyres are all a year old matching. The gearbox shifts very nicely in auto mode and in tiptronic mode, the engine has good oil pressure and feels strong under heavy acceleration. Being the 3.4 engine it doesn't suffer from the usual iMS failures, less than 1%. The spoiler raises and lowers as it should and the bellows are all in good condition. It has a slight whine coming from the idler pulley, doesn't bother me but it's not an expensive fix. Externally the car is very tidy and in good condition, it does have some marks, stone chips as you'd expect for a 23 year old car, but doesn't detract from how good it looks. The paint on the bonnet is a bit dull and would probably benefit from being repainted at some point, but it's not an urgent job. The screen has a stone chip in the bottom LH corner of the screen but doesn't affect the MOT. Originally the car would have had amber lights, but it has been fitted with a clear light upgrade at some point in its life. Internally the car is in very nice condition with dark grey leather, it's clean and tidy, seats are generally very good for their age, being the hard back sports seat they are a snug fit. Rear seats look like new and the carpets all round are very good. Tilt and slide electric all working as it should, as do all the switches and buttons. To sum up this is a 996 that you can jump in and use as, its not a concours example but is priced accordingly. I'm only selling as my young daughter doesn't like sitting in the back and you can't turn off the passenger air bag on this model, so its not getting used as much as I'd like. Next MOT due 12/07/2025, Black, 5+ owners, £7,900
